Our History:
The Dundee Access Group was founded over thirty years ago by a group keen to improve access to buildings and services in Dundee for people with disabilities.
We have done this by giving advice to both service providers and users, by providing aids in buildings (for example wheelchairs and chairs with arms), and by helping to pay for an induction loop (in a time before the DDA). In 1988 we published the first Disabled Access Guide to Dundee. This has since been updated on four occasions, most recently in 2006. We have also made small awards to voluntary organisations whose aims are the same as ours.
